Merendon Mining Corporation Ltd.
("MMCL") is a company formerly domiciled in
Recently MMCL has received some
inquiries from people who have engaged in transactions with entities bearing
the name "Merendon". Those companies include
in their names references to locations in the
MMCL has recently learned that some people involved with the IFFL Group of Companies have suggested that investors in the US Merendon Companies contact MMCL in respect of their investments. MMCL is not in any way involved in those investments, has not received any part of those investments, and is not responsible or involved in the redemption of those investments.
In fact, MMCL has not sold any shares since 2002, and is well aware of its own shareholders. MMCL is also aware of its own contractual obligations to its lenders and underwriters, and has honored all such obligations.
MMCL encourages the investors in the US Merendon Companies to pursue the recovery of their investments from those entities with whom the investments were made, including those who solicited those investments. MMCL has reason to believe that the investors in the US Merendon Companies may have been victims of fraud, and that the people perpetrating that fraud may have suggested that the US Merendon Companies were somehow affiliated with MMCL and its subsidiaries. Any such representation is untrue. Any person who has received such a false representation should contact their local authorities and report the matter.
MMCL will not be honoring any obligations of the US Merendon Companies.
